Xinan Zhou awarded 2023 ICTP Prize

The 2024 ICTP Prze was announce on November 29th and awarded to Xinan Zhou, Tenure-track Assistant Professor at Kavli Institute for Theoretical Sciences (KITS), University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), for his remarkable contribution in the field of high energy theoretical physics. The ICTP Prize was established in year 1982 and is now one of important international scientific awards. This award recognizes young scientists from developing countries who have made original and outstanding work, and requires the recipient to have obtained a doctorate within 12 years. The ICTP Prize is awarded by the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy. The center is affiliated with UNESCO and was established in 1964 by the famous theoretical physicist Nobel Prize winner Abdul Salam. The research scope of the ICTP covers high-energy physics, condensed matter physics, mathematics, geophysics, biology, etc. It is also a world-famous platform for scientific exchange. Since its establishment, 7 Chinese scientists have won this award in the fields of condensed matter physics, atomic and molecular physics, mathematics and atmospheric science.
