The Kavli Institute for Theoretical Sciences (Kavli ITS) at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), Beijing, keep inviting qualified individuals to apply for multiple post-doctoral fellow positions in theoretical physics and related fields. These positions can start anytime and the appointment will be for 2 to 3 years, with the possibility of renewal. Special consideration will be given to the areas in condensed matter physics, quantum field theory, quantum computation and information, and complex systems including statistical mechanics, biophysics and quantum chemistry. Candidates for the positions are required to have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. All qualified candidates, both in China and outside China, are encouraged to apply.

Postdoc members will have great opportunities to work with Faculty members Fu-Chun Zhang, Bo Gu, Mamoru Matsuo, Long Zhang, Hua-Jia Wang and Zheng Zhu as well as present postdoctoral fellow members (Ching-Kai Chiu, Jian-Jian Miao, Rui-Zhen Huang, Ominato Yuya and Fujimoto Junji). Like our sister institute, the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, every year the Kavli ITS hosts multiple programs and conferences in the physics field. Postdoc members at the Kavli ITS will also have opportunities to participate and organize workshops and conferences hosted by the institute. The Kavli ITS also provides sustainable traveling funding to encourage our institute members to establish international collaborations, especially the institute has a great connection with RIKEN in Japan.

Merits to join the Kavli ITS:
